Another fact that I have knowledge in reference to South Korea is that its students are ranked at the top performing students in the world, especially in math. A few years ago I watched a documental on T.V, where they describe a normal day of the South Korean students, they spend most of their time in the school and taking extra classes in English, math, literature, self-study at the libraries, sometimes they have to wait for their shifts because the libraries are too busy. The students' regular schedule starting around 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. and ended around 10:00 p.m. Their parents have a tradition, which includes prayers and burning the books that their kids used in the last year, this belief is based on the assumption if they do the ritual described above their kids will be better in the coming up year, as they will improve in their performance as well.
Something that I would love to know is its historical places, culture, and gastronomy.
